Mr. Wen Gao, is an internationally recognized artist with over thousands of pieces of work sold in both the US and China. His current
focus is classic large scale oil painting, acrylics, and pastels.
Wen majored in art and sculpture from the prestigious Chinese Central Art Institute in Beijing, China; graduating top of his class in 1986.
After graduation, he was engaged as a Professor of Art at the Institute where he created and sold over 200 pieces of his work.
He moved to New York City in 1994, and his work was represented in the Soho district galleries.
He later moved to Pittsburgh, and was an invited guest artist at Carnegie Mellon University’s College of Fine Arts (2004 – 2006).
From 1996 – 2004, he owned an art studio in Ross Park Mall and sold paintings on various subjects including portraits, animals and landscapes.
In recent years he has been focusing on teaching and currently owns an art studio in Ross Township, Pittsburgh where he teaches art classes to adults
and children including pastels, acrylics, oil painting, and sculpture.
